Training Need Identification & Analysis
We need to look at the overall performance of the organization as a whole but also have to look into each department and explore ways to better them. These can be achieved by providing specific inputs to them by exploring their exact needs and customizing the solutions to their needs.
Training needs assessment plays a critical role in helping organizations understand their employees' technical skills, domain knowledge, cognitive abilities, and behavioral traits in order to create relevant workforce development programs.
Organizations deploy different models across the board to identify their training needs. One such model provides a systematic means of conducting a TNI and TNA at three levels: Organizational, Operational and Individuals. The levels of assessment follow from the organizational level to the personal level.
From the organizational perspective, the assessment is focused on the effectiveness of the organization as a whole. The aim is to identify any discrepancies and loopholes which exist and thereby conduct training to bridge the identified gaps. It can be product knowledge or skills required to keep up with the ever-changing scenario. These assessments analyze factors like the economy, new policies and the changing workforce demographics. The assessments will determine which department in an organization requires training and whether it will help in bridging the gap when implemented.
